Position Summary and Responsibilities:

Repair machinery in warehouse - forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

  • Manage maintenance activities and keep organized documentation of all maintenance and repairs performed on BEK computers
  • Adhere to the Safety Rules and Policies set forth by BEK Foods
  • Maintain acceptable record keeping system to comply with EPA (including PSM and PHA compliance), OSHA, ANSI, and Homeland Security
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, annual reviews of PSM standards and requirements and document any changes
  • Prepare and review the Good Monthly Report of the facility on a monthly basis
  • Access and input data into warehousing system to generate required reports
  • Maintain upkeep of warehouse and refrigeration equipment and appropriate documentation to establish proper maintenance records
  • Prepare required reports and keep records of departmental activities.
  • Determine equipment needs and select/purchase equipment as required
  • Manage material and equipment requests to ensure effective upkeep of warehouse and refrigeration equipment
  • Participate in activities of the shop and maintenance employees
  • Participate in required annual refrigeration training
  • Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration/warehouse equipment and environmental upkeep
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Must be able to work schedule Monday-Friday morning shift (7am-3:30pm)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass drug screen and physical exam.
  • High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in all temperature zones (including Freezer)
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
  • Must be able to lift 30-60 lbs and heavier items occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend at the waist; stoop to reach and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner and operate lift assisting devices.
  • Ability to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds 
  • Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.
