Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The purpose of the Inventory Control Supervisor of Cycle Counters is to monitor the process of cycle counting to ensure cycle-counting is being performed correctly and efficiently and that proper counts and quality is maintained. The position will assist in product recalls.  

  • Supervise Cycle-Counters daily activity
  • Ensure counts are being performed accurately and efficiently.   
  • Maintain accurate data in KWCS and provide clerical support to drive operational efficiency.
  • Check inventory dates to ensure product quality is maintained.
  • Apply appropriate codes for out-of-date and/or damaged products.
  • Maintain accurate data in inventory management system
  • Enter correct product data into KWCS system based on physical inventory counts.
  • Make appropriate adjustments to ensure system data matches physical counts.
  • Complete Cycle Count End of Day Report daily.
  • Periodically check on direct reports.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 2 year degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of inventory control experience required
  • Food service industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of FDA and USDA guidelines
  • Microsoft Office experience a must, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of warehouse RF system and using an RF scanner
  • Must be able to create Excel Pivot Tables & Excel Worksheets
  • Exceptional communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications.
  • Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
  • Must be able to work in different warehouse temperature zones
  • Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend
  • Occasional lifting up to 100lbs.
  • Ability to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery horns)
  • Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.
