Position Summary and Responsibilities:

Ben E. Keith has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated IT professional interested in designing, building and supporting a next generation network.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience in transforming/modernizing WAN, LAN, Voice and Wi-Fi networks with a focus on user experience.  As a technical expert in your field, you will engage with business and technology associates to ensure the network is capable of meeting the demands of the future and today.

 

A day in the life of the Network Engineer could include activities such as:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Improve security posture through firewall management, configuration management, or code management
  • Collaboration with application, infrastructure and business teams to design networks that will meet or exceed business requirements
  • Work with carriers to ensure the best transport is in place at best price point
  • Craft lifecycle roadmaps to maintain hardware/software currency
  • Provide continuous optimization of the network

Job Qualifications:

  • Expert level knowledge of Cisco Networking, core routing/switching
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki in a branch (hub/spoke) deployment model
  • Advanced knowledge of Fortinet Firewall technology
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki and Ruckus wireless technology
  • VoIP (ideally Skype for Business) and the tuning for optimal performance
  • Proficiency with design/configuration of security controls at the network layer
  • Analytical problem-solving skills to minimize the impact to the business
  • Aptitude for learning and teaching in a team environment
  • Exemplary communication skills, written and verbal
  • Certifications (NSE4, CCNA and/or CCNP preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science related field highly desired
  • At least five years of experience in enterprise network support preferred
